Russian forces attacked rescuers in Druzhkivka — four State Emergency Service employees injured

In the city of Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region, Russian occupation forces carried out a targeted FPV drone strike on rescuers who were responding to a call about a fire.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

As a result of the attack, an enemy drone hit a fire engine, causing an explosion and setting the vehicle on fire. Four employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine sustained injuries of varying severity.

The injured rescuers have been evacuated to a hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care.

During the strike, the fire truck used by the rescuers to respond to the aftermath of shelling was damaged. It is noted that the emergency workers were performing their official duties — they were on their way to extinguish a fire caused by an earlier Russian attack.

Despite the danger, they continue to work in frontline areas, risking their lives to help the local population.

Ukrainian authorities described this attack as further evidence that Russian forces are deliberately violating the norms of international humanitarian law. The strike on SES personnel, who are not taking part in hostilities, is classified as a war crime.

Earlier, unknown drones attacked an oil refinery in Russia.
Over the past day, Russians also attacked 26 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.
