In Sumy, Russian attacks have struck residential areas in the Kovpakivsky District, resulting in casualties.

As of 11:20 a.m., three people are known to have been wounded and have already received medical care. The type of weapon used in the strike is currently being determined.
City authorities report that explosions were heard in residential buildings and infrastructure facilities. In total, about six explosions were recorded in the city, the first of which occurred around 10:00 a.m. The threat of further strikes remains in the Sumy district.
The alert in the region has been in effect since 7:50 a.m.
Meanwhile, it is reported that in just the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out nearly 50 attacks on 31 settlements in 17 communities of the Sumy region. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
Mortars, FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, and guided aerial bombs were used in the attacks.
As a result of the shelling, residential buildings, vehicles, administrative and non-residential premises, road surfaces, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged or destroyed. The communities of Shostka, Berezivka, Vorozhba, Esman, and Hlukhiv suffered the most damage.
