Russian invaders have shelled the border areas of Chernihiv Oblast 44 times
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched massive attacks on settlements in the Chernihiv region, with 66 explosions recorded.
This was officially reported on Telegram by Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, as he summarized another day of enemy aggression.
The regional head emphasized the intensity of the strikes on peaceful border areas.
“There were 44 shelling incidents over the past 24 hours. 66 explosions,” Vyacheslav Chaus reported, pointing to the constant threat to the region’s residents.
Recently, the occupiers’ tactics have undergone certain changes in the selection of targets for airstrikes.
According to the administration, the invaders have begun deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure, attempting to strike communications facilities with their “Geran” drones.
In the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian forces have recorded at least three such attempts to destroy communication hubs.
Such actions by the enemy are aimed at destabilizing the situation in the region and depriving people of the ability to receive timely information.
In addition to attacks on strategic targets, the Russians continue to terrorize ordinary villagers in border areas.
Early this morning, a Russian drone attacked a private residence in one of the settlements in the Koryukivka district.
As a result of the enemy drone striking directly in a residential yard, farm buildings sustained significant damage.
In particular, the explosion and shrapnel destroyed the hayloft and barn of local residents, causing significant damage to the farm.
As a reminder, Russian troops attacked a heating facility in Chernihiv.
Russians attacked the Kyiv region with drones: damage reported.
Russia also attacked Ukraine with 164 drones; air defense forces destroyed 150 UAVs.
