Russian bulk carrier Siberia loads stolen Ukrainian grain in occupied Crimea — SeaKrime
The Russian bulk carrier Siberia (IMO: 9239458) loaded stolen Ukrainian grain in temporarily occupied Crimea. The vessel switched off its Automatic Identification System (AIS) in the Kerch Strait on 21 December and was already recorded in Feodosia on 23 December.
This was reported by journalist Kateryna Yaresko from the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets Centre on her Facebook page.
“SIBERIA (IMO: 9239458) arrived at the Bosphorus loaded and indicates a course towards Lebanon… The voyage may be to Lebanon or Syria, as last time,” she noted.
According to data from the War&Sanctions portal of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the vessel is owned by the sanctioned Russian company TK Severny Proekt, which specialises in maritime cargo transportation, including dangerous goods of all categories.
In October 2025, Kateryna Yaresko also reported that more than 27,000 tonnes of stolen Ukrainian grain had been exported from the port of Sevastopol in occupied Crimea. The cargo was aboard the Russian vessel Matros Koshka (IMO: 9550137) and was likely bound for Syria.
In addition, in September 2025 the bulk carrier ZAFAR loaded around 30,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at the Avlita grain terminal in occupied Sevastopol between 21 and 28 September.
It is worth recalling that the Tanker Trackers project recorded a surge in vessels being “re-flagged” under the Russian flag. Experts monitor maritime shipments of oil and gas tankers.
