A Russian drone struck a high-rise building in Kyiv; there are casualties
In the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, a Russian drone struck a 24-story residential building at the 11th–12th-floor level. The attack caused a fire and destroyed part of the walls; six people were injured.
According to updated information, the drone struck the high-rise building at the 11th–12th-floor level.
“Update. In the Darnytskyi district, a UAV struck a 24-story residential building at the 11th–12th-floor level. A fire broke out on the 12th floor, and walls were destroyed. Emergency services are on the scene,” said Vitali Klitschko.
As a result of the strike, a fire broke out on the 12th floor and damage to the walls was reported. Emergency services are on the scene.
Initially, the mayor of Kyiv reported five casualties as a result of the morning attack by Russian forces.
According to him, three of the wounded were hospitalized.
Later, the Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that the number of casualties had risen to six.
Thus, as a result of the Russian drone attack on a residential building in the Darnytskyi district, six people were injured, three of whom are in the hospital.
Emergency services continue to work at the site of the strike and deal with the aftermath of the attack.
