Russian shelling in Donetsk region: one civilian killed, four injured
In the Donetsk region, another round of enemy strikes resulted in civilian casualties — one person was killed and four others were injured to varying degrees.
This was reported on Facebook by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
Over the past day, Russian forces shelled frontline settlements using artillery, mortars, and other weapons. Residential areas, utility buildings, and civilian infrastructure were hit, confirming the deliberate nature of strikes on non-military targets.
According to local authorities, the deceased was a resident of a settlement that regularly suffers from enemy attacks. The injured civilians received medical assistance, with some hospitalized in serious condition.
Medical and rescue teams worked immediately after the strikes, documenting the damage and assisting people left without homes or access to basic services.
The shelling caused damage to private houses, vehicles, and communal infrastructure, including the electricity network. Power and water supply disruptions were reported in some areas, and emergency services worked to restore critical systems.
As a reminder, Russian drones previously targeted critical infrastructure in Chernihiv region. Russia also struck an enterprise in Kremenchuk, injuring civilians.
