A Russian strike damaged a church belonging to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Kyiv
As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv, a church belonging to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate sustained damage. The shock wave damaged the icons, the altar area, and the church pews, and the rector has appealed for help to restore the sanctuary.
As a result of the massive Russian shelling of Kyiv on the night of July 2, the church dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate sustained damage.
The church is located within the First Darnytskyi Deanery. As a result of the Russian attack, the building’s windows were shattered, and the icons, the altar area, walls, doors, and window frames were damaged. In addition, cracks formed on the church walls. The church grounds and the church shop building were also damaged.
The church’s rector, Archpriest Vasyl Klym, appealed to all concerned citizens to help restore the church following the Russian strike.
