Intelligence reports indicate that Russia plans to deploy UAV control stations
On March 23, 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a report from Oleg Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, regarding the Russian Federation’s deployment of new ground-based control stations for long-range drones.
According to available information, the enemy plans to deploy such facilities both in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and four stations on the territory of Belarus. The Head of State assured that Ukraine would respond to these actions accordingly and instructed intelligence to inform international partners and the media about the data that can be made public.
During the meeting, irrefutable evidence was also presented showing that Russia continues to provide intelligence to the Iranian regime, utilizing its own capabilities in radio-technical and electronic intelligence. In addition, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) has documented attempts by the Russian command to consistently exaggerate the achievements of its troops on the battlefield. The Russian occupation forces’ headquarters plans to use such manipulative data in future negotiations. Based on the report, intelligence continues to regularly assess internal Russian information regarding activity on the front lines.
Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine certified and authorized the use within the Armed Forces of Ukraine of three fiber-optic FPV systems manufactured by enterprises of JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry.”
