The SBU destroyed a Russian alternative to Starlink in the frontline zone – video

Soldiers from the "Raid" Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a network of repeaters and local communication systems that Russia is using as a substitute for Starlink terminals. 

The regiment reported this on Facebook. The occupying forces deployed these alternative solutions at a considerable distance from the front line after losing the ability to fully utilize the American satellite network.

The destruction of enemy antenna complexes is a priority task, as the command and control of Russian units directly depends on the resilience of these systems. The targeted facilities provided communication between separate groups of troops, serving as critical infrastructure in the context of electronic warfare. The operation took place amid reports of the detention in Dnipro of a minor GRU agent who was attempting to identify industrial targets for new airstrikes on the city.

The Russians replacedStarlink with an alternative that is more visible to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Additionally, the blocking of Starlink and restrictions on Telegram have created problems for Russian forces, according to Estonian intelligence.

The Russian command acknowledged the mass shutdown of Starlink terminals for the first time.
