Defense forces struck 10 tankers and 4 ferries belonging to the Russian Federation
On the night of July 12, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against key military, economic, and defense facilities of the enemy. In particular, the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation was hit, with explosions and a fire reported at the site. The facility, with a design capacity of 8.5 million metric tons of oil per year, supplies fuel to the occupying forces.
In the waters of the Sea of Azov, Ukrainian forces struck 10 Russian tankers used to circumvent international sanctions, as well as four ferries involved in military logistics. In addition, on July 11, near Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region, the destruction of an enemy train carrying fuel and lubricants and damage to a locomotive were confirmed.
The consequences of the July 10 strike on the “NOVATEK-Ust-Luga” oil refining complex in the Leningrad Oblast of the Russian Federation have also been clarified, with damage to the oil refining facility confirmed. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Samara region of the Russian Federation, the Syzran oil refinery is on fire as a result of a drone attack. There were at least four strikes on the plant’s territory on the night of July 12; the primary oil processing unit, which accounts for 30% of the plant’s capacity, is on fire.
On the night of July 10, Ukrainian defense forces struck a number of strategic Russian military logistics facilities. The strikes hit 18 ships, the Ilsk Oil Refinery, oil terminals, and fuel depots.
As a reminder, the Omsk Oil Refinery—Russia’s largest refinery, owned by Gazprom Neft—completely halted oil processing following a drone attack on July 6.
