Defense Forces repelled 137 attacks and stopped enemy breakthrough in the Pokrovsk direction
In the past 24 hours, 137 combat engagements were recorded along the front, during which Ukrainian defenders demonstrated resilience in holding back heavy enemy pressure.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Pokrovsk direction remained the most intense sector, where Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled 21 enemy assault actions, preventing them from advancing into Ukrainian territory.
The enemy continues to use massed strike tactics, employing a record amount of equipment. Over the past day, more than 9,000 kamikaze drone attacks and 85 airstrikes with guided bombs were recorded.
Despite the heavy fire, the Defense Forces inflicted significant losses on the aggressor in personnel and equipment across all sectors of the front.
In the Pokrovsk sector, fighting occurred in the areas of Myrnohrad, Udachne, and Novyi Donbas. The occupiers attempted to storm defensive positions in small groups supported by artillery, but all efforts were neutralized by effective fire.
Similar intensity was observed in the Huliaipole and Kostiantynivka directions, where the enemy carried out 21 and 20 attacks, respectively. Ukrainian units firmly hold the defense near Huliaipole, Varvarivka, and Pleshchiivka, thwarting the occupiers’ attempts to encircle or breach defensive lines.
In response to attacks on civilian towns, Ukraine’s aviation and missile forces carried out precise strikes on enemy rear targets. During the day, 10 areas of Russian troop concentration and five command posts were hit, causing significant disruption to enemy command and control.
“Aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 10 areas of personnel and equipment concentration, five command posts, one depot, two artillery systems, and one other important enemy facility,” the military command report states.
In the Prydniprovske direction, an attempted attack near Velykyi Vilkhovyi Island was successfully stopped. Meanwhile, in the Lyman and Kupiansk directions, the enemy attempted to breach the defenses near Drobysheve and Petropavlivka, but failed and retreated with losses.
It should be recalled that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have seized the initiative near Huliaipole.
Ukrainian counterattacks in the south may also disrupt Russia’s planned spring-summer offensive.
