Ukrainian defenders neutralise 213 aerial targets during massive night attack

On the night of 12 February, Russian occupying forces launched another large-scale combined attack on Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, head of communications for the Ukrainian Air Force, reported on live television.

The enemy used a wide range of weapons, including ballistic missiles, guided aerial missiles, and a record number of strike drones. According to Ihnat, a total of 244 aerial attack systems were recorded.

Thanks to the professional work of Ukrainian air defence units, aviation, and mobile fire groups, 213 enemy targets were destroyed.

“Out of 244 aerial attack systems today, a large number—213 targets—were shot down or suppressed, including 197 drones and 15 ballistic missiles. Unfortunately, nine missiles could not be intercepted,” Ihnat summarised the results of the night battle.

This attack was notable for the high concentration of ballistic weapons. Russian forces launched 24 Iskander-M and S-300 missiles, targeting facilities along complex ballistic trajectories.

Earlier, Russian drones struck residential areas in Barvinkove. Industrial and warehouse facilities at two enterprises in Kyiv region were also damaged.
