Syrsky coordinated the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Southern Operational Zone
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi coordinated further actions with unit commanders in the Southern Operational Zone to conduct an effective active defense.
He announced this on Facebook.
According to him, during his working trip, he met with the command staff of military command bodies, military units, and subunits carrying out combat missions to repel Russian aggression.
“During my latest working trip to the Southern Operational Zone, I held a meeting with the command staff of military command bodies, military units, and subunits involved in combat missions to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” Syrskyi noted.
He reported that during the meeting, the main focus was on harmonizing and improving cooperation within areas of responsibility, as well as coordinating further actions for conducting active defense.
The Commander-in-Chief also heard reports from commanders and issued orders to improve the supply of ammunition, drones, and other logistical resources to the units.
According to Syrskyi, Russian troops continue to build up their forces and are attempting to turn the tide of battle in their favor, but the Defense Forces are holding their designated lines.
“Our goals remain unchanged—to inflict maximum losses on the enemy in order to wear them down, liberate Ukrainian territories, and save the lives of our soldiers,” he emphasized.
As a reminder, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited the positions of the 65th Brigade on the Zaporizhzhia sector of the front.
Over the past day, Ukrainian defense forces eliminated 1,440 Russian soldiers and destroyed a significant amount of enemy equipment.
