Syrsky visited combat units in the Oleksandrivka sector

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the Oleksandrivka sector, where he worked with combat units of the Airborne Assault Forces and allied brigades. He assessed the situation on the ground, spoke with the troops, and emphasized that the top priorities remain drone support, effective logistics, and saving the lives of the defenders.

Syrskyi also reported that Ukrainian forces continue to increase their use of drones. According to him, on one day in July, the Ukrainian Armed Forces achieved a 1.8-to-1 advantage over Russian troops in the use of FPV drones.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi visited combat units on the Oleksandrivka front. Together with the Chief of the General Staff, he worked with units of the Airborne Assault Forces, as well as with adjacent units that are holding defensive positions and carrying out combat missions. “Another trip to the hot Oleksandrivka sector. Together with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I worked with combat units of the Airborne Assault Forces group, as well as with adjacent units that are confidently holding their defenses, conducting active combat operations, and destroying the enemy,” Syrskyi said.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the main purpose of the trip was to personally assess how the troops are carrying out combat missions, verify the combat readiness of the units, and speak with commanders and soldiers directly at their positions. While on the front lines, Syrskyi heard briefings from the commander of the Airborne Assault Forces, as well as from brigade and unit commanders. They discussed the operational situation, existing problems, and possible solutions.

The Commander-in-Chief paid particular attention to logistics. He emphasized that the effectiveness of the Ukrainian military on the battlefield depends precisely on timely logistical support.

Syrsky also ordered an increase in the supply of weapons, military equipment, and munitions to the units. This primarily refers to strike drone systems, which currently play one of the key roles on the front lines. According to him, Ukraine continues to expand the unmanned component of its forces, and the Russian occupiers are increasingly feeling its effectiveness both on the front lines and in the rear. “The enemy is increasingly feeling its effectiveness—both deep within its rear areas and directly on the front lines. According to statistics from one day in July, across the entire front line, we achieved a 1.8:1 advantage over the enemy in the use of FPV drones,” Syrskyi noted.

During the visit, the Commander-in-Chief also presented military personnel with awards from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The awards were given to soldiers who distinguished themselves while carrying out combat missions and who inflict daily losses on the enemy.

During his meeting with the troops, Syrskyi once again emphasized that the command seeks not only to successfully carry out combat missions but also to preserve the lives of Ukrainian defenders to the greatest extent possible. “While speaking with the service members, I emphasized once again: our priority is not only the effective execution of combat missions but also preserving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers to the greatest extent possible. It is precisely our technological advantage, sound planning, and professionalism that must deliver results,” the Commander-in-Chief stated.

In closing, he thanked the Ukrainian military for their resilience, professionalism, and dedication. “I thank every servicemember for their resilience, professionalism, and dedication. The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine!” Syrskyi concluded. He shared this on Facebook.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces pushed back Russian troops near the villages of Maliivka, Sichneve, Novohorhiivka, and Zaporizke in the Synelnykivskyi District of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Over the past 24 hours, 244 combat engagements took place on the front lines. Ukrainian troops continue to repel the advance of Russian occupation forces, inflicting losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment.

On the night of July 14, Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles, guided air-to-ground missiles, and attack drones. Air defense forces intercepted five ballistic missiles, two Kh-59/69 missiles, and 108 enemy drones.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s drone forces have struck or destroyed 1,559 Russian military targets, including 15 enemy vessels.
