Syrsky visited the southern front: intense fighting continues in the Huliaipole area
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the southern sector of the front line, where active combat operations are currently underway, and assessed the current situation.
Syrskyi wrote about this on Facebook.
“In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy continues to put pressure on our defensive positions. We are holding back the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Huliaipole, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Varvarivka, Myrne, Olenokostiantynivka, and others—there are about 20 combat engagements every day,” he reported.

During his visit, he held meetings with commanders of assault and airborne assault units, listened to reports on the current situation, and discussed problematic issues and options for improving the situation.
“We are monitoring the redeployment of additional enemy forces and resources and neutralizing the enemy. On site, I issued appropriate orders regarding additional supplies of ammunition and logistical resources for the units,” the Commander-in-Chief noted.
Syrsky thanked the troops for their unconventional decisions on the battlefield, their resilience, and their dedication, and the commanders for preserving the lives of their personnel.
Russian troops are currently regrouping and preparing for larger-scale offensive operations, which may intensify with the arrival of greenery. This will allow the enemy to more effectively conceal infiltration groups.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have repelled a large-scale offensive by Russian occupiers, recording a total of 158 combat engagements across the entire front line.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of high activity by Russian drones.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also thwarted a Russian offensive planned for March.
