Solovyov proposed destroying Russia’s own oil tankers with torpedoes
Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov has once again made a scandalous statement.
During his latest programme, he called on the Russian authorities to “destroy with torpedoes” their own oil vessels if, due to international sanctions, they are unable to enter foreign ports.
According to Solovyov, this would allow Moscow to “preserve its dignity” and prevent the ships from being arrested or seized by other states.
The propagandist said that the Russian fleet is currently in a difficult situation, as an increasing number of ships carrying oil under the Russian flag are being denied access to EU ports.
He referred to a recent incident in which Germany banned a tanker carrying Russian oil from entering the Baltic Sea.
Solovyov claimed that in such a situation the only “correct step” would be to destroy the vessel so that it “does not fall into the enemy’s hands”.
