A third of Russian attacks hit the Pokrovsk area – General Staff
As of 04:00 p.m. on December 15, the enemy carried out 71 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The highest activity was observed in the Pokrovsk direction, according to a report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Pokrovsk direction was the hottest: since the start of the day, the occupiers carried out 25 attacks in the areas of Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya, and in the directions of Hryshyne and Novopavlivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks, with fighting continuing.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces attempted 11 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Bik, and toward Kostiantynivka, Novopavlivka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiivka. Ukrainian units repelled nine attacks, while two clashes are ongoing. In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy conducted no offensive actions.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled five enemy attacks, with two clashes ongoing. The enemy struck near Novoselivka and toward the settlements of Drobysheve and Lyman. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks — the occupiers tried to advance near Serebrianka, Dronivka, and Siversk, with one more battle still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders attempted nine advances on Ukrainian positions near Yalta, Sichenne, Sosnivka, Verbove, Zlahoda, Pryvilne, Rybnoye, and toward Oleksiivka. The enemy also carried out an airstrike on Havrylivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy carried out eight assault actions, which Ukrainian defenders repelled near Huliaipole and Varvarivka. One clash is ongoing. The enemy carried out airstrikes on Huliaipole and Zaliznychne. In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy advanced three times toward Novoandriivka, Pavlivka, and the Shcherbaky area. In the Prydniprovsk direction, one unsuccessful attempt by the enemy to approach Ukrainian positions near Antonivka was recorded.
In the South-Slobozhansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy assaults near Prylipka and toward Obukhivka. In the Kupiansk direction, one clash with the enemy is ongoing near Pishchane.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 55 shelling attacks, including one with a multiple-launch rocket system. Russian artillery strikes affected border areas of Ukraine, including the settlements of Bobylivka, Ryzhivka, and Rohizne in the Sumy region. The enemy also carried out a guided aerial bomb strike on Ryzhivka.
During the day, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Eastern Operational Command zone repelled 90 Russian assaults and continue to hold back enemy pressure.
