This year, Russia dropped nearly 44,000 guided aerial bombs on Ukraine

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from January to November 2025, Russian aircraft dropped more than 43,900 guided aerial bombs (GAB) on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and frontline cities.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defence, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

October was the most intense month, with 5,328 guided bombs recorded.

For comparison, in 2024, Russian aircraft dropped about 40,000 bombs, averaging 109 guided bombs per day.

In 2025, this figure rose to approximately 130 bombs per day, according to the Ministry of Defence.

The ministry emphasises that this year, Russia has significantly intensified its aerial terror on the territory of Ukraine.

It should be noted that there are currently no confirmed cases of Russia launching sea-based cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea towards Ukraine, but Russian strategic aviation regularly conducts launches over the Caspian Sea.
