Large-scale inspections have begun in five regions of Ukraine due to a threat from the north
The Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, has launched unprecedented security measures in five northern regions of our country—Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Volyn, and Rivne.
This was reported by the SBU.
The main goal of this large-scale operation is to completely prevent enemy forces from infiltrating border areas, as well as to effectively prevent sabotage, espionage, and other war crimes.
The measures are being carried out strictly within the legal framework of martial law, which is currently in effect throughout the country.
Overall coordination of the operations is being carried out directly by the Anti-Terrorist Center under the SBU. Units of the National Police, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service are involved in carrying out the tasks.
The agency specifically emphasizes: “In terms of the number of forces and resources deployed, these measures are unprecedented in the territories bordering Russia and Belarus.”
This level of force concentration will allow for maximum protection of strategic sections of the state border.
As part of these security measures, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are carrying out a series of special operations on the ground.
Security forces will conduct enhanced checks of citizens in the operation zone, as well as detailed searches of territories and individual premises to look for prohibited items.
In addition, in border areas, there may be temporary restrictions on entry and passage in certain settlements, thorough checks of personal documents, and inspections of vehicles.
