A woman was killed and others were injured in a drone attack in Balakliya
Russian forces attacked the central part of Balakliya in the Kharkiv region with drones. At least four strikes were recorded. A woman was killed in the attack, and there are also wounded. Rescue workers continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack and clear the rubble.
This was reported with reference to Vitaliy Karabanov, head of the Balakliya City Military Administration.
“At this moment, the fourth strike by an enemy drone has already been recorded. One of them hit a private residential building,” wrote Vitaliy Karabanov, head of the Balakliya City Military Administration, on social media.
Consequences of the enemy strikes
- Casualties: The fourth kamikaze drone struck a private residential building. A 60-year-old woman was killed in the explosion.
- Injuries: Three strikes were previously recorded, resulting in injuries to two people. They were hospitalized, and medical personnel are providing all necessary care.
Situation at the impact sites
Vitaliy Karabanov, head of the Balakliya City Military Administration, reported that all emergency and utility services are operating around the clock.
Rescue workers are clearing the aftermath of the attacks and removing debris. Law enforcement officers are on the scene to document yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation against the civilian population. “All relevant services are working around the clock to provide prompt assistance and address the consequences of the enemy attacks,” Karabanov wrote.
Authorities are urging residents to remain in shelters until the all-clear is given, as the threat of new strikes may persist.
