In Chernihiv, officials assessed the damage caused by the Russian strike on the ATB supermarket
Russian forces attacked Chernihiv several times over the past 24 hours using attack drones. One of the drones struck an ATB supermarket, killing a 10-year-old girl and a 23-year-old woman. A total of 25 people were injured, including four children.
New details have emerged in Chernihiv regarding the Russian attack that took place on July 26. Over the course of the day, the occupiers struck the city several times with attack drones. Among the dead were a 10-year-old child and a young woman; dozens more people were injured. This was reported by Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.
The most tragic strike occurred during the day. According to the regional head, the Russians attacked Chernihiv with “Shahed”-type jet drones, also known as “Geran.” One of the drones struck a supermarket. A 10-year-old girl and a 23-year-old woman were killed in the attack.
A total of 25 people were injured, including four children: two boys aged 10 and 11, a 17-year-old teenager, and a girl who is not yet two years old. Currently, 12 of the injured remain in hospitals. According to Chaus, four of them are in serious condition. All the victims received the necessary medical care. During the same attack, another drone struck a car repair shop.
The strike caused a major fire. The blaze completely destroyed the service station building and the vehicles that were on the premises at the time. Later, Russian forces launched another strike—this time targeting one of Chernihiv’s industrial facilities. A fire also broke out there following the strike. In the evening, the city came under attack again. A drone struck the grounds of a food processing plant.
A 48-year-old man was injured as a result of this strike. He was hospitalized. “Medical personnel provided assistance to all those injured,” said the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration. Due to the tragedy, July 27 was declared a day of mourning in Chernihiv for those killed as a result of Russian strikes.
Cleanup efforts following the attacks are ongoing in the city. Rescue workers, utility crews, and law enforcement officers are on the scene, documenting the aftermath of yet another Russian war crime, according to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.

On the night of July 26, Russian troops carried out a combined attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles, a guided air-to-ground missile, and attack drones. Air defense forces destroyed one X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missile, five of seven Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 104 enemy drones.
