The Russian State Duma threw a fit over the fires in Moscow

The Russian State Duma threw a fit over the fires in Moscow

Alexei Zhuravlev, first deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma’s Defense Committee, stated that it is necessary to destroy railway stations, bridges, and tunnels in Ukraine to block all logistics, and also called for a large-scale operation to advance occupation forces to the Dnipro River and capture Kyiv.

The Russian lawmaker called such actions the only way to stop regular Ukrainian drone raids on Russian territory

At the same time, the chairman of the same parliamentary committee, Andrei Kartapolov, expressed a different view, noting that Moscow’s air defense is allegedly the best in the world and does not require additional protective measures. In his view, ending airstrikes on Russian cities is possible only if the war is brought to a swift conclusion. The debate within the Russian leadership unfolded against the backdrop of a large-scale drone attack on the Moscow region, which, according to estimates by representatives of the aggressor state themselves, was one of the most serious since the start of hostilities.

This was reported by The Moscow Times.

The massive drone attack on Moscow has sparked a wave of outrage and division across Russia’s regions.

In Balashikha, near Moscow, local residents are reporting unusual effects from the rain—black, oily stains with a burning smell are left on clothing, cars, and other surfaces.

In five cities in the Moscow region, 16 people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of falling debris and the chaotic response of Russian air defenses during the drone attack.

The Russian State Duma responded to the record-breaking attack on Moscow.

Madyar pointed out the inscription on the drones that attacked the Moscow Oil Refinery for the third time.
