The death toll in Kamensk has risen due to the Russian attack; another body was recovered from the rubble
In Kamyanske, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the death toll from last night’s Russian attack has risen to five. Rescue workers recovered the body of another victim from the rubble of an industrial plant.
Five people were killed in the attack, and five others were injured.
Three of the injured are currently in the hospital under medical supervision.
Among the dead are employees of the attacked industrial plant. Four of them were on the night shift at the time of the strike and worked as a mechanic, an electrician, a hydraulic technician, and a machine operator.
The city has declared a period of mourning for those killed in the Russian attack.
“This is an act of terror against people—against those who work and keep the economy going, against our enterprises and our cities,” reads a statement from Oleksandr Hanzha.
Regional authorities expressed their condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.
Rescue operations at the site of the attack and efforts to address its aftermath are ongoing.
