Female traffic police officers were injured in a drone attack in Kherson
In Kherson, a Russian drone struck a commuter bus carrying people to work. Two female employees of the State Tax Service were injured, and the daughter of one of them died from her injuries.
On the morning of July 1, a Russian drone attacked a commuter bus in Kherson. Among the passengers were two employees of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Kherson region who were on their way to work. This was reported by Lesya Karnaukh, acting head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
According to her, both women sustained injuries of varying severity. They are currently under medical supervision. “Our colleagues sustained injuries of varying severity. They are under medical supervision. Their lives are not in danger,” Lesya Karnaukh said.
The greatest tragedy struck the family of one of the victims. Her daughter was on the bus with her mother. “Unfortunately, the girl died as a result of her injuries,” noted the head of the State Tax Service. The agency reported that it will provide the necessary assistance to the injured employees and their families.
In addition to the people involved, the administrative building of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Kherson region was also damaged. The blast wave shattered windows on several floors there. “The State Tax Service will provide all necessary assistance to support the affected employees and their families,” emphasized Lesya Karnaukh.
Earlier, local authorities reported that Russian troops had attacked a shuttle bus in Kherson with a strike drone. The attack resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians. The circumstances of the attack and the final number of casualties are being clarified. Karnaukh wrote about this on Facebook on Wednesday.
The Security Service of Ukraine announced a successful strike on the “Saki” military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the security service, drones struck hangars where Russian combat aircraft may have been stationed, after which a fire broke out at one of the facilities.
