In Crimea, Alexander Usyk’s property declared seized
The head of the so-called “State Council of the Republic of Crimea,” Volodymyr Konstantinov, announced the “nationalization” of property belonging to Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usyk on the temporarily occupied peninsula.
The official of the occupation administration stated that the athlete’s property was allegedly added to the list of assets being transferred under Russian control.
According to Konstantinov, the list of “nationalized” assets includes those of 84 individuals and legal entities whom the occupiers accuse of cooperating with Kyiv. He claims that these people “earn money in Crimea” that is supposedly directed to support Ukrainian armed forces.
Konstantinov specifically mentioned Usyk, attributing to him “allegiance to Nazi ideology” and using a common cliché of Russian propaganda.
He expressed outrage that Usyk openly condemns the full-scale war launched by Russia against Ukraine and criticized the Ukrainian champion for his clear stance on Russian aggression.
The official also reacted negatively to Usyk’s participation in fundraising for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which the boxer has repeatedly supported.
