Several power substations are on fire in Crimea following an attack

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, at least five power substations caught fire following a nighttime attack on July 3, according to local Telegram channels. There are also reports of a possible fire at another power facility.

This was reported by the monitoring group of the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind,” citing satellite data.

“Last night in Crimea, several electrical substations were damaged and caught fire: the 110/35/10 kV “Belogorsk” substation in Belogorsk, the 220/35/10 kV “Marianivka” substation in the Krasnogvardeisky District (for the second time), the 110/35/10 kV “Staryi Krym” substation in Staryi Krym, the 330 kV “Dzhankoy” substation in Dzhankoy, the 35/10 kV “Zagorodna” substation in Dzhankoy, the 110 kV “Saki” substation in Saki (not yet confirmed; investigation ongoing),” the statement reads.

It is noted that in addition to the village of Maryanivka, where the substation is on fire, a fire has also been reported near the railroad bridge close to the village of Yantarne. The railroad bridge spans the Krasnogvardeisky branch of the North Crimean Canal.
