In Crimea, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the control tower at the Saki airfield and a drone relay station
On August 12, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against key military targets of Russian forces on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula. Among the targets struck were the control tower at the Saki airfield and a ground-based relay station used to control attack drones.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces struck the control tower at the Saki military airfield in the Novofedorivka area.
This airfield is used by Russian forces on the occupied Crimean Peninsula.
Another target was a ground-based relay station designed to control “Geran” and “Gerbera” strike UAVs. According to the General Staff, it was struck in the Olenivka area on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
The General Staff noted that the destruction of these targets weakens the capabilities of Russian forces.
Specifically, this refers to a reduction in the enemy’s ability to control attack drones and maintain the operation of a military airfield.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to strike key military facilities of Russian forces in the occupied territories.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian military is striking Wildberries trucks transporting goods to occupied Crimea. At least two instances of such vehicles being hit have been reported; another attack resulted in the drone missing its target.
On August 12, Ukrainian drones struck a relay station for the Russian “Geran” strike drone control system in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. A number of other important Russian military targets in the occupied territories were also struck.
The General Staff noted that striking these targets weakens the enemy’s ability to control attack drones, maintain military equipment, and support the operations of its units.
