A Russian drone struck a high-rise building in the Cherkasy region
On the night of August 13–14, the Cherkasy region came under attack by Russian drones. One of the drones damaged a high-rise building, resulting in injuries.
It is reported that a residential building was damaged in the Smila territorial community of the Cherkasy region as a result of a Russian drone attack. According to preliminary data, three people were injured.
Emergency services are on the scene. The strike also caused a fire, which rescue workers are currently extinguishing.
Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, reported on the consequences of the attack.
As a reminder, the Russians deliberately struck a passenger train in the Odesa region with a Shahed drone, resulting in fatalities.
The State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration have released photographs of the locomotive damaged by the Russian attack. The images show the condition of the train following the strike.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian forces struck a passenger train in the Odesa region. According to him, there were 340 passengers on board at the time of the attack, and the train engineer and his assistant were killed.
