The General Staff has updated its figures on Russian military casualties and announced that 1,470 invaders have been eliminated
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military has eliminated approximately 1,470 Russian occupiers. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the latest losses suffered by the Russian Federation’s armed forces as of August 14.
As of August 14, Russia has suffered the following losses in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel – approximately 1,464,440 (+1,470) individuals;
- tanks – 12,264 (+2);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,141 (+11);
- artillery systems – 47,870 (+46);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 2,024 (+1);
- air defense systems – 1,565 (+3);
- aircraft – 439 (+0);
- helicopters – 354 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,215 (+12) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 459,649 (+1,676) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,007 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 133,853 (+448) units;
- special equipment – 4,524 (+2) units

As a reminder, the Russians deliberately struck a passenger train in the Odesa region with a Shahed drone, resulting in fatalities.
The State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration released photographs of the locomotive damaged as a result of the Russian attack. The images show the condition of the train after the strike.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian forces struck a passenger train in the Odesa region. According to him, there were 340 passengers on board at the time of the attack, and the train engineer and his assistant were killed.
