In Mykolaiv, a Russian attack claimed the lives of two people aboard a foreign vessel
On the morning of July 17, Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv’s port infrastructure with strike drones. The attack killed two Ukrainian citizens who were aboard a foreign vessel.
According to the investigation, the occupiers used Shahed-238 attack drones. The attack damaged three civilian vessels flying foreign flags that were moored at the city’s port facilities.
One of the strikes hit a foreign vessel with two Ukrainians on board. They died from their injuries.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the Russian attack under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the laws and customs of war, resulting in the loss of life.
Prosecutors, together with investigators and other law enforcement officials, are currently documenting the consequences of yet another war crime committed by Russia.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
As a reminder, 249 battles took place on the front lines over the past 24 hours, and Russia has intensified its activities on three fronts.
Russian troops have intensified their attacks on settlements in the Donetsk region. Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Druzhkivka are being struck almost daily by guided bombs and drones, and the evacuation of civilians from Kostiantynivka by vehicle is currently impossible.
