The Air Force has urged the media to avoid certain phrasing regarding the work of the air defense forces

On August 10, the Ukrainian Air Force called on the Ukrainian media not to escalate the situation with reports of allegedly unshot ballistic missiles. Yuriy Ignat, head of the Air Force’s Communications Directorate, emphasized that air defense forces are using all available means to repel attacks.

“I would very much like to address, via this broadcast, the Ukrainian media and Telegram channels. I don’t do this often, but I’m doing it once again. Our monitoring teams looked into how much information there was specifically regarding ballistic missiles during the most recent attacks, particularly on the Odesa region.

If you Google ‘Air Force,’ you’ll see ‘not a single missile was shot down.’ Well, there are actually thousands of links. “Well, if you think it’ll make anyone feel better if we hype things up with headlines like that,” he said.

According to Ignat, Russian propagandists are simply reposting such news stories.

“Look, they haven’t shot down a single missile.” Well, we’re doing all the work for Skabeeva, Solovyov, and so on. That’s why I’d ask once again: writing about this won’t make things any easier for anyone. But how we present the information is very important for us, for our domestic audience. And we shouldn’t play into the Russians’ hands in this regard. I want every administrator and journalist to draw their own conclusions,” he said.

Ignat reminded viewers that Ukraine is awaiting air defense systems from its partners.

“We’re currently facing this issue with ballistic missiles. So, stirring up tension and playing into the Russians’ hands isn’t a good idea,” he concluded during the telethon.

As a reminder, Russia is preparing to sharply escalate its ballistic missile strikes against Ukraine.

As a reminder, a Russian attack on the Poltava region damaged a gas station and a business.

In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.

Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 troops and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
