In Radushne, a large family killed by a Russian missile was honored
On July 31, in the village of Radushne in the Kryvyi Rih district, residents gathered near a destroyed building—which had been leveled the day before by a Russian missile strike—to honor the memory of the victims with a moment of silence. People are bringing flowers, children’s toys, and drawings to the site of the tragedy.
On the night of July 30, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on the house where the Voronov family, who had many children, lived.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the parents, Olena and Artem, as well as three of their children—Mark, Azariy Ilay, and Emilia—were killed.
“The Russian missile strike was so powerful that almost nothing remained of the house… Fragments of human bodies were found under the rubble, and only forensic examinations can determine which family members the bodies belong to. The fate of Zakhar, Dominika, Viorika, Federika, and Artem is currently being determined,” the president wrote.
According to preliminary reports, on the night of July 30, the Russian army attacked the Kryvyi Rih district with an “Iskander-M” missile, which struck a private home in the village of Radushne.
Six people were killed in the attack, including three children. Nine others were injured, and five more are considered missing. Rescue operations and efforts to determine the fate of the missing are ongoing.
