In Russia, a rain of fuel oil fell after a drone attack on an oil storage facility

In the Yaroslavl Region of the Russian Federation, following a successful strike by Ukrainian drones on a Rosrezerv fuel storage facility, local residents reported a rare environmental disaster—"oil rain."

The scale of the explosions and the subsequent fire at the industrial facility resulted in the fall of a peculiar form of precipitation in the form of black droplets.

Currently, pollutants have covered household items and private vehicles, and have formed a persistent oily film on plants and local natural water bodies.

The main target of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ airstrike was the “Temp” plant, which the aggressor country actively uses for the long-term storage of strategic fuel reserves.

In local social media groups, Russians are actively posting photos of houseplants and objects completely covered in a dark oily film.

In addition, publicly released video footage clearly shows the Volgotnya River in the village of Volkovo, located 20 kilometers from the city of Rybinsk, with massive oil slicks forming on its surface.
