182 clashes on the front lines over the past 24 hours: the heaviest fighting is in the Pokrovsk sector

Over the past 24 hours, 182 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines, with Russian forces exerting the heaviest pressure in the Pokrovsk direction. Ukrainian defense forces repelled nearly all attacks and inflicted significant losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment. The fiercest fighting continued throughout the day.

Throughout June 16, the situation on the front line remained extremely tense: Russian troops continued massive attacks on several fronts simultaneously, but most of the assaults were stopped by Ukrainian defenders before they even reached the front lines.

In total, 182 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours, during which the enemy actively employed aircraft, drones, and artillery. Specifically, 53 airstrikes were carried out using 163 guided bombs, and more than 6,000 attacks by kamikaze drones were recorded, along with more than 2,000 shelling incidents targeting Ukrainian military positions and civilian infrastructure.

The situation developed unevenly across different sections of the front: in some areas, the Russians attempted to storm positions in small groups, but without making significant progress.

The most intense fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where the occupiers carried out 38 assault attempts. Ukrainian units repelled 37 of these attempts, preventing a breakthrough of the defenses in the areas of several settlements, including Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, and others. Only one engagement remained active as of the end of the day.

According to preliminary data, it was in this sector that the enemy suffered significant losses: 48 soldiers were killed, and another 26 were wounded. Military equipment was also destroyed or damaged, including a tank, artillery systems, vehicles, and drone control stations. Separate reports indicate losses among drones—over 300 units were destroyed or neutralized.

Other sectors also remained active. In the Lyman and Kostiantynivka sectors, the enemy carried out dozens of attacks, but Ukrainian forces gradually repelled them. On the Sloviansk sector, all attempts to break through were repelled, despite nine assaults in various areas.

On the southern sections of the front, the enemy also continued to apply pressure; specifically, 24 attacks were recorded in the Huliaipole sector, most of which were repelled.

The General Staff emphasizes that the situation remains difficult, but Ukrainian troops are holding their positions and inflicting systematic losses on the enemy in terms of both manpower and equipment. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated a lawmaker from United Russia who had gone to fight against Ukraine.

Ukrainian defense forces continue to successfully hold the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region, which is strategically important to Russia as a gateway to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Thanks to the coordinated actions of units integrated into the Third Army Corps, the situation has been fully stabilized, and the enemy has been pushed significantly further back from the outskirts.

Russian invaders have significantly intensified their offensive operations along the entire front line, engaging in 240 combat clashes with Ukrainian defenders during the 24-hour period of June 7.
