There are no plans to launch an air raid warning system in Sievierodonetsk
In occupied Sievierodonetsk, the air raid warning system is currently not operational, and there are no plans to establish one. This was reported by the regional military administration, citing the occupying authorities’ response to inquiries from local residents.
“In response to numerous appeals from citizens, the occupation administration of Sievierodonetsk reported that the warning system in the city has not been functioning since 2022, when the town was captured by the Russians. There are no plans to repair or install a new one in the near future. Mobile communication has also been unavailable for several years,” Kharchenko wrote.
According to him, city residents can only learn about air raid alerts from town criers who go door-to-door to every office or other workplace, or by hearing a siren from an emergency vehicle.
Meanwhile, the population of the “LPR” has grown accustomed to living without shelters. The invaders have not established equipped locations to which people should go during an air raid alert. In fact, there is no information whatsoever regarding the locations of shelters, including on official websites or in print media.
“This doesn’t bother the occupiers,” noted the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
On the evening of June 9, Russian troops launched a drone attack on Kharkiv. Several explosions were heard in the city, with strikes recorded in various districts.
Mykolaiv came under attack again by Russian drones, which struck the city and the region. An administrative building was damaged as a result of the shelling, but there were no casualties. The enemy also repeatedly attacked communities in the region with FPV drones and artillery.
The Zaporizhzhia region endured one of the most intense attacks in recent times, as Russian troops launched hundreds of strikes on dozens of settlements. One man was killed and two others were wounded as a result of the shelling. Both frontline communities and areas further inland came under fire.
