The number of victims of the Russian strike in Ternopil has risen: an 81-year-old woman died in hospital
Another death has been confirmed in Ternopil among those affected by the Russian missile strike on 19 November. An 81-year-old woman, who was in extremely serious condition, died at St. Luke's Hospital in Lviv.
This was reported by Serhiy Zyubanenko, head of the Ternopil Regional Police.
According to him, she was a resident of a building on 15 Kvitnya Street, which suffered significant damage from enemy shelling.
‘Today we received another sad news... She was a pensioner born in 1944, seriously injured as a result of the missile strike on Ternopil on 19 November,’ Zybanenko said.
As of 2 December, the death toll had risen to 36, including 29 adults and seven children. Five more people — four adults and one child — remain missing.
‘Our investigators, forensic experts and dog handlers are continuing their work to determine the fate of each person,’ Zubenko added.
Earlier in Ternopil, the number of victims of the Russian missile attack on 19 November increased. Twelve-year-old Adriana Unolt died in hospital.
The building on Stusa Street in Ternopil is to be demolished due to significant damage to load-bearing elements and a high risk of further collapse.
