Ukrainian military personnel described the enemy's tactics under the cover of green paint
Enemy assault teams are attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian positions under the cover of vegetation, using so-called “green camouflage” and moving in small groups, but the Defense Forces are adapting their countermeasures and inflicting damage using drones.
Russian units continue to use natural cover and are attempting to bypass Ukrainian battle formations, avoiding direct confrontation.
**“The enemy continues to use ‘green camouflage,’ attempts to infiltrate our battle lines, moves in small assault groups, tries to avoid engaging our positions in combat, but rather to bypass and infiltrate our battle formations everywhere.
It’s much harder to counter them now, but we’re finding ways, adapting, and, for the most part, we’re succeeding.
We deploy heavy bombers equipped with thermal imaging cameras and employ a strategy of total destruction of the landing zones the enemy uses. We then conduct reconnaissance and discover the bodies of the occupiers there,”** said Roman Pidlubny.
The Ukrainian military actively uses strike drones equipped with thermal imaging systems, which allow them to detect the enemy even under difficult camouflage conditions.
After drone strikes, units conduct additional reconnaissance of the area to verify the results of the attack.
According to military officials, adapting tactics and the widespread use of UAVs make it possible to effectively counter enemy attempts to infiltrate through forested areas and woodlands.
Senior Sergeant Roman Pidlubny, battle captain of the 1st Battalion “High-Altitude Predators” of the 59th Assault Brigade of Unmanned Systems named after Yakov Handziuk, spoke about this on ArmyTV.
