In Kupiansk, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces captured a Russian spotter
During operations in Kupiansk, soldiers of the Special Operations Forces identified and detained a Russian occupier who had been hiding in the city and directing strikes on Ukrainian positions. This was made possible thanks to careful work and radio interception, according to the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces.
The operation was carried out by fighters from the 8th Regiment. “Radio intercepts clearly indicated the presence of a ‘rat’ in one of the districts of Kupiansk. He was constantly changing his location and hiding,” the special operators noted.
Due to dense urban development, numerous shelters, and potential firing positions, the search for the enemy was long and painstaking. As a result, the Russian spotter was captured, depriving the enemy of the ability to plan and strike Ukrainian positions.
