In Odesa, water, electricity, and heating have been cut off due to enemy attacks
In Odesa, as a result of an enemy attack, one of the city’s densely populated districts has been left without water supply, electricity, and heating.
The head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, reported that a critical infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of a direct hit.
At present, one person is known to have been injured with injuries of moderate severity and has been hospitalized to receive medical care.
Municipal services are working at the scene, assessing the extent of the damage and collecting information to provide further assistance to residents. On December 17, due to continuous attacks on energy infrastructure in the Odesa region, a state-level emergency situation was declared.
As of December 18, power engineers managed to find technical solutions to supply electricity to most residents, but emergency outages remain possible.
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, noted that the situation is complicated by repeated attacks that damage energy infrastructure, while air raid alerts hinder restoration work. Protest actions are taking place in the city, during which people are blocking streets due to the lack of water and electricity.
In Odesa, on December 18, the enemy shelled residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. There are no casualties among civilians; inspections and assistance to residents are ongoing.
