Russian “Inokhodets” drone destroyed in occupied Crimea
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of a Russian “Inokhodets” drone as a result of a strike on the Kirovske airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the military, three more such drones were damaged. The cost of one system is estimated at several million dollars.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military command clarified the results of the recent strike on the storage site of drones at the Kirovske airfield. According to updated data, one “Inokhodets” UAV was destroyed, and three others were damaged.
The General Staff reminded that the “Inokhodets,” also known under its export name “Orion,” is a Russian operational-tactical strike and reconnaissance medium-range UAV system.
The Russian army uses such drones for reconnaissance, patrolling, strikes on ground targets, and countering maritime drones.
According to open-source specifications, this drone can operate at a distance of up to 250 km, remain in the air for up to 24 hours, fly at altitudes of up to 7.5 km, and carry up to 200 kg of aerial munitions. The estimated cost of one system is several million U.S. dollars.
Additionally, on April 3–4, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck railway fuel convoys in the Shchotove and Stanytsia Luhanska areas of temporarily occupied Luhansk region. The General Staff noted that this is intended to complicate fuel and lubricants supply for the Russian occupation forces.
The massive UAV attack covered 10 regions of Russia, with numerous hits recorded.
It is worth recalling that in occupied Alchevsk, drones attacked a metallurgical plant.
Drones also attacked the chemical plant “KuibyshevAzot” in Tolyatti, where smoke was seen rising above the facility.
