Russian attacks have left consumers in six regions of Ukraine without power

As of the morning of May 15, power outages affecting consumers have been reported in six regions of Ukraine as a result of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure.

This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo on Facebook.

According to the company, some consumers in the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Khmelnytskyi regions remain without power.

Ukrenergo notes that emergency repair work is already underway where the security situation allows.

“As a result of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, as of this morning, consumers in the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Khmelnytskyi regions are without power. Emergency repair work is already underway wherever security conditions currently permit,” the statement reads.

The company also reported that electricity consumption as of 9:30 a.m. on Friday was 3.2% lower than the previous day. They attribute this to clear weather in most regions, which increases the efficiency of residential solar power plants.

As a result of drone attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on the morning of April 13, consumers in the Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv regions were left without power.

As a reminder, on the night of April 13, 2026, Russian occupation forces carried out a targeted attack on the energy infrastructure of the Chernihiv region.

The Sumy region once again came under attack by Russian occupiers, who used unmanned aerial vehicles to strike civilian infrastructure.

Russian troops attacked the village of Zolochiv in the Kharkiv region with drones.
