“The whole courtyard is covered in debris”: well-known Ukrainian TV host speaks about a strike near her home

On the night of 3 February 2026, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing 521 aerial attack assets — missiles and hundreds of drones.

The Ukrainian Air Force neutralised 450 targets, but 27 missile impacts and 31 drone strikes were recorded at 27 locations, mainly in Kyiv Region, Kharkiv Region and other areas.

The capital found itself at the epicentre of the attack: explosions were heard in several districts, causing destruction to residential buildings and damage to infrastructure.

A well-known Ukrainian television host, Anna Tullieva, a behind-the-scenes star of the Eurovision National Selection, found herself just a few metres from an enemy drone.
One of the Shahed drones hit a high-rise building next to her home on the left bank of Kyiv — the entire courtyard turned into a field of debris.

The day before, Anna had visited a pharmacy in that very building, and during the attack she felt as if the drone was falling straight onto her head.

One window in Tullieva’s flat cracked, but her neighbours suffered greater damage — on the 17th and 22nd floors the windows were completely blown out.
“To say that everyone is in shock is to say nothing,” the host shared on Instagram, thanking people for their concern and her guardian angel.
She posted photos of the damaged building, clearly showing the scale of destruction caused by the explosion.

Russia attacked the energy sector in eight regions of Ukraine.

Five-year-old twins miraculously survived a drone strike on Sumy.
