Video: A combat robot helped Ukrainian forces capture occupying troops
During a clearing operation in the village of Ternuvate in the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine’s Defense Forces used a ground-based robotic system that helped capture Russian soldiers.
This was reported by fighters of the 131st Separate Reconnaissance Battalion.
According to them, the occupiers were hiding in houses and refused to surrender. The situation changed after a robot equipped with a machine gun was deployed.
After the robot opened fire, the Russian soldiers ran out of their shelters and surrendered.
The military noted that such robots have a strong psychological effect, as the enemy cannot predict their actions.
According to the fighters, ground-based robotic systems are being used increasingly often in combat operations—both for clearing missions and for logistics.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the strategic goal of the invaders is currently to seize additional territories in order to create a so-called “buffer zone” within the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces are also adapting military training to more effectively counter enemy drones and modern battlefield threats.
