Video: A man who was attacked by a Russian drone in Kherson recounts his ordeal

In Kherson, a local resident named Yuriy, who was injured on August 4 as a result of a Russian drone attack, shared details of the incident. According to him, the drone pursued him for about a minute before dropping a munition.

The man said he had come to the city to sell vegetables. When he and his wife began setting out their goods, they heard the distinctive sound of a drone.

“We started setting up; we’d just put up the umbrella and were beginning to arrange the crates. My wife was there too. It started buzzing—we couldn’t even see it. It flew in from somewhere behind the market, from behind the bushes, and very low,” Yuriy said.

According to him, his wife started running away, and the drone turned toward him.

“I pointed out to it: ‘Look, there are vegetables over there.’ But it started flying toward me, so I started running away,” the man said.

Yuriy was injured when the munition was dropped. His car was also damaged for the second time.

“Everything in the back is torn apart. The car was damaged for the second time. I have nothing left to work with, nothing to bring in or take out,” he added.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, as a result of the attack, the man suffered a concussion, blast trauma, and multiple shrapnel wounds.

Doctors reported that the victim was diagnosed with multiple shrapnel wounds to the torso and both upper limbs, as well as a concussion. The wounds are non-penetrating, and his life is not in danger.

As a reminder, Russian occupation forces carried out yet another attack on the civilian population of Kherson. A video has surfaced online showing an FPV drone chasing an unarmed man in the Tavriyskyi neighborhood of the city.
