Video: “Freedom of Russia” Legion Sabotages Occupiers’ Railway in Zaporizhzhia
Fighters from the “Freedom of Russia” Legion, who are fighting on Ukraine’s side, carried out a sabotage operation in November on a key railway line used by Russian occupiers in Zaporizhzhia region.
According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), the explosion occurred on the railway between the temporarily occupied villages of Vesele and Novouspenivka.
The attack severed one of the enemy’s main logistical arteries in the region.
During the operation, a 2M62 mainline locomotive and 25 freight cars derailed, completely halting traffic on this rail line.
HUR added that the operation was followed up with an airstrike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, which destroyed military supplies stockpiled by the occupiers near the site while awaiting restoration of the railway.
Meanwhile, long-range drones from the SBU Special Operations Center “Alpha” struck oil platforms operated by Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft in the Caspian Sea for the third time in a week.
