Video: The Galaktika shopping center burned down in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast
In the temporarily occupied city of Yenakiieve in the Donetsk region, the “Galaktika” shopping center—which previously operated under the “Epicenter” brand—was attacked. The facility covers an area of 8,150 square meters.
During the fire, local residents heard sounds resembling explosions.
The incident in Yenakiieve was the second such case in a short period of time.
On August 10, 2026, the “Galaktika” shopping center in occupied Makiivka, with an area of 21,410 square meters, was struck.
This shopping center was built before the occupation, when Makiivka was under Ukrainian control. After the city was seized, the facility came under the de facto control of the occupying administration.
Both shopping centers were reportedly used by the occupiers, in particular because they housed stores selling military equipment that were frequented by servicemen from Russian units.
Amid the strikes on the “Galaktika” shopping center, there have been recent reports of attacks on large retail and logistics facilities within Russia.
On the night of August 11, the Wildberries logistics complex caught fire in the Novousmansky District of the Voronezh Region. Local residents reported explosions, and the company confirmed the evacuation of employees.
On August 7, a Wildberries warehouse in Yekaterinburg—located more than 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border—was attacked.
Another attack took place on the night of August 5 in the Tula Oblast. Drones struck a Wildberries warehouse in the city of Aleksin, after which a fire broke out at the facility.

Prior to this, a satellite image showed the extent of the damage to the large Wildberries warehouse in Bashkortostan following a drone attack. The fire destroyed nearly 30,000 square meters of the building—roughly one-fifth of the entire complex.
Thus, on August 13, two major incidents were recorded in the region at once—the strike on the Wildberries logistics complex and a fire at a large oil refinery. A satellite image of the Wildberries warehouse became one of the first visual confirmations of just how extensive the fire was following the attack, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
Sellers on the Russian marketplace Wildberries are complaining en masse about delays in payments for goods already sold. According to them, payments for orders placed before August 3 have not yet been received, even though, according to the platform’s rules, payment is supposed to be made within five business days.

Attacks on Wildberries could exacerbate Russia’s economic problems, according to The Wall Street Journal.
As a reminder, sales of military goods on Wildberries plummeted following the Ukrainian attacks.
The Russian marketplace Wildberries plans to launch a network of “partner hubs” for storing goods as part of its support for sellers and owners of order pickup points.
