Video: Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine; fires broke out in several regions
On the night of September 22, Russian forces launched a massive attack on the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions. Explosions were confirmed in Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Kropyvnytskyi; the attacks caused fires and resulted in injuries.
The Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic missile launches from the Kursk region—likely from Iskander systems, S-400 systems, or enemy S-300 air defense systems. The military urged people to avoid being outdoors and to ensure their safety. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to monitoring channels, the enemy is using various types of missiles in the southeastern regions of Ukraine—including “Kalibrs,” ballistic missiles, and “Zirkons”—as well as attack drones. According to the same reports, more than 25 missiles have already been launched. The Poltava region was also targeted.
Subsequently, explosions were heard again in Kropyvnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih.
The Dnipropetrovsk region came under a massive enemy attack. The Russians simultaneously struck industrial facilities in three cities in the region—Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad—causing fires to break out. Information about the casualties is being verified. This was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
Three people were injured as a result of the attack on Dnipro. Medical personnel are providing all victims with the necessary care.
Overnight, the Air Force warned of the threat of Russia using ballistic weapons. Subsequently, the military reported high-speed targets heading toward the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Following this, explosions were heard in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. Reports of loud noises also came in from Zaporizhzhia and Pavlohrad.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, confirmed that the city was under attack. He urged residents to remain in shelters and warned of the possibility of further strikes.
“The city is under attack by ballistic missiles. Further strikes are possible,” Vilkul wrote.
A large-scale fire was also reported in Dnipro. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service are working at the scene.

In Zaporizhzhia, a shopping complex was destroyed as a result of an attack by a Russian UAV. One person was injured in the strike.

Russia also struck Lozova, damaging the train station and causing one fatality.
On September 21, Russia attacked two districts in the Kyiv region.
