Video: Russians reported capturing a village using dead infantrymen
In the Vovchansk sector, Russian occupiers are attempting to create the illusion of success by sending infantry groups to carry out so-called “flag-raising operations.” They report the alleged capture of settlements even in cases where their soldiers are killed immediately after raising the flag.
Ruslana Bohdan, an officer with the communications unit of the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshovy Ataman Kostya Gordienko, spoke about this during an Army TV livestream.
According to her, the enemy has carried out a rotation and regrouping of its forces. After infiltrating small assault units, the Russian command rushes to report that it has taken control of the territory, even though there has been no real advance, and the infantrymen themselves are quickly eliminated by Ukrainian drones.
The Vovcha River remains a serious obstacle for the occupiers. The Russians are unable to build a crossing to transport heavy equipment, so they are forced to send only infantry groups, which become targets for Ukrainian drones.

Over the past 24 hours, 238 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded on the front lines. The Russian army launched two missile strikes and 85 airstrikes, deployed over 8,000 kamikaze drones, and shelled Ukrainian military positions and populated areas nearly 3,000 times.
As a reminder, on the night of July 30, Russian forces carried out one of the largest combined attacks on Ukraine, using more than 70 missiles and over 280 attack drones. Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as the Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, came under fire.
