Video: Russian attack damaged Channel 5's office in Kyiv

As a result of the Russian missile strike on Kyiv on July 6, the office of Channel 5 was damaged. The attack destroyed some of the filming equipment and caused damage to the TV station’s premises.

“The enemy strike caused significant material damage to the television company, damaging key components of its content production facilities. The premises sustained significant damage. The studio was damaged. Some of the filming equipment was destroyed, and workstations in the newsroom were wrecked,” the channel said in a statement.

It is noted that none of the channel’s employees were injured.

At this time, the channel is unable to resume broadcasts on television. Broadcasting will continue on YouTube, Channel 5 representatives said.

As a reminder, during the morning shelling on July 6, Russian terrorists struck the DAO sorting terminal of the “Nova Poshta” company in Dnipro. The strike caused a fire on the premises, which rescue workers quickly extinguished.

Earlier, Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing a new large-scale attack.

So far, 11 deaths have been reported in Kyiv, and July 7 has been declared a day of mourning in the capital.

The Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 1. At that time, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—air-, ground-, and sea-based—of various types at Ukraine.
