Video: A crater formed in Kyiv's Solomyanskyi District following an attack by the Russian Federation
On September 8, a deep crater formed in the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv following a nighttime attack by the Russian Federation. Footage released shows a destroyed supermarket building and the aftermath of falling debris.
Units of the State Emergency Service, emergency services, and municipal services continue to work at the scene, clearing up the aftermath of the strike and removing the rubble.
“We’re seeing good results in shooting down cruise missiles, but it’s not easy with ballistic missiles,” said Zelenskyy.
On September 8, Russian troops struck the Kyiv–Sumy train with two “Shahed” missiles. The train had been stopped in advance, and passengers and crew members were evacuated following a warning from the Ukrzaliznytsia monitoring team.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to the Russian attack.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
